It is quite good. All of the elements are there. I like the concept. But I cannot put exactly the finger on it, it seems to me that there is something concerning the aesthetics that has to be improved. Maybe a specialist in the domain could give us cues. A few things that I can say is that the 3D caracter and the 6.1.0 logo, the linux world, could be more polished. Once more the concepts are great. Maybe we should call on the forum for someone in the domain.
I actually think the video is good, but it also needs to show what can be done in slax, copy cd's, watch movies, surf the net, rip cd's, do a little bit of programming, etc. Also the video format is in the evil' empires format. Maybe it should be in format free of proprietary codecs, converted with mencoder(which is available in slax) to ogg theora video or other free codec that is not patent encumbered.
I am unable to give an opinion on anything about advertisement and aesthetics.
I just second disappointment for adoption of wmv format; the stance about free software is just a strong factor in GNU/linux adoption as it being a much better os than anything M$.
Hey I really like the video and what you got going here. I'm pretty much a newbie at this proramming type stuff (more of a hardware guy myself), but im eager to learn ;) Just a little feedback though, like I said I like the video and it intrigued me enough to come to the site and get slax for myself, but as for the casual youtuber (...?), they're most likely to have no clue as to the concept of this and just skim it over. Maybe add a little more showing slax's capabilities? Oh well. Anyway great job and keep up the good work (always wanted to say that). Cheers.
