This is like 0 to the 0 power is 1 right?
0^0 = 1
How can it be, if it is 0 for all other values?
How can this be true. To get nothing for nothing, out of nothing. Seems cool to me! [2] kaiomatico wrote 204 days ago:

it is all because the list for signing in "i do not want religion" never came to my seat in the class :D

Dude, before you knew words your parents were like gods to you. We can not just turn god worship off; we would have never made it here. Christians knowingly pray to god and some, like yourself, unknowingly pray to man.

Make perfect nonsense.
Because everything happens for a reason.
All religions are fake.
But God created the universe and everything in it.
That's my belief.

Just to touch on this point though.. first, that's not what atheists believe and obviously meant to be a joke. Nobody likes having the facts of their beliefs misrepresented. I'm sure you don't.
Atheists, simply do not believe in a single all knowing(Christian style) God. That's hardly belief in nothing. They tend to believe in what science teaches, that energy is never destroyed, it simply changes form. There are no facts at all in the world that prove the existence of a God, so you are talking about is a choice to believe in something.. sort of like children believe in the tooth fairy. If that's your choice, I respect it. [6] George_P wrote 195 days ago:

Science teaches that energy can neither be created nor destroyed (By us at least,) yet we live in this giant container full of energy that seemingly came from nowhere. The energy is also not nearly as chaotic as it should be if it really did appeared out of nowhere. Good enough proof for me that a higher power exists, and knows much more science than we do. The dinosaurs died out because they believed in God.
Oops, wait.
The dinosaurs died out because they didn't believe in God.
Oops, wait again.
The dinosaurs died out because they couldn't figure out if they were supposed to believe in God.
Makes perfect sense. [9] linux lover wrote 173 days ago:

Ok just imagine that we are doing a gambling in our life, take a coin and jump it into the air...
If The right side is No After Life so if we have religion or not it's really doesn't matter, What We should do in Our life, We can kill any body else without any fear we got some impact in our after life so there's no purpose of anything because everything just valued Null and there's should no reason to life except Life = Null
But if the other side of the coin is There is after life, we loose from the beginning because we do nothing to prepare for our after life...
Ok that's just simply analyse from me and what the reason why I'm choosing to get Religion in my life...
Nice to meet You Tomas, Your Slax is Rock

It seems that Albert Einstein believed in god: Spinosa's conception of god:

What do you think about that?
The universe is so complex, so beautiful and interesting in itself, there is still so much to be known. There is no need for simplistic conceptions of nature.

@Cethink:
You are citing Pascal's Wager. When arguing for religion, it is best to stay away from arguments that have names. You are making several assumptions in your argument. For one, you are assuming that there is religion or no religion, a 0 or a 1. This would imply that it doesn't matter what religion you belong to, you're preparing for the afterlife. But, so many religions are exclusive to non-members. So, if one is right, they can't all be right. Therefore, it isn't an all or nothing situation. Instead of flipping a coin, take a golf ball and put a dot in one of the divots with a marker. Roll that golf ball. If the dot faces straight up, good. Do that again. If it faces straight up again, you hit the jackpot and won the afterlife lottery.
Secondly, I'd like to point out that belief isn't something that can be immediately chosen. It is a product of conditioning. There are good reasons to believe things and there are superstitious reasons to believe things. I can quickly demonstrate this. I challenge you to believe that there is an invisible monster made entirely of sharp teeth and it hides in every doorknob. If you touch the doorknob, the monster will bite you. At first, you won't believe this. You'll pretend that you believe it. Eventually, opening doors using some extra device will become a normal conditioned response for you. But, you'll keep telling yourself that the monster is in that knob. Eventually you will hit a point where you think you believe it and will tell people why you never directly touch the doorknob with sincerity and think they are insane for not using your device. Eventually, you will become so invested in it that it becomes almost a desperation where it "has to be true" or "is the absolute truth". Whenever someone gets a shock from a doorknob, you'll have your reinforcement for your belief. But, it won't be true. And, instead of being a well-founded belief, it will be based on a superstitious notion.
However, far more likely, you'll just get into the habit of using a device to turn the doorknobs for you and you'll forget why you started. Much more rational is the belief that the doorknob is a tool used to open the door and is generally a safe tool, not to be feared. That's the more convincing belief, so that's what you'll believe. People have to be convinced that something is true. It's not matter of pure choice.
@francois
Einstein's belief in god is irrelevant for the same reason that anybody's belief in god is irrelevant. Let me demonstrate this. Get an empty jar and put a lid on it. Put it in front of you. Find 100 people willing to claim that there are delicious candies in the jar. Does the claim of candy by 100 people make the statement true? No. Truth is not subject to a democratic vote. It's not subject to dictatorship. The jar is empty, no matter the flavour of the invisible, intangible, transcendental candy. [14] fr3sh1 wrote 88 days ago:

The belief in GOD is an individual thing, but it very interesting to note that even the smartest people come to that conclusion as they mature, and acumilate enough experience.
I don't know if there is a GOD, but one thing I have realized is that, while it possible for humans to be the result of evolution, that evolution could not have happened on this planet. My argument for this is simple, Humans are the only species on earth which can-not live natively in the enviroment. What do I mean by that? We cant't live without shelter and clothes, even in the most hospitable of climates on earth, we would be dead in only a few days.
For evolution to explain this, the first modern human born would have had to build or find a shelter as a day old infant. [17] John wrote 3 days ago:
